. In order to bring together all the above mentioned factors, there needs to be an effective methodology to make the various factors to combine, work together and achieve the required results. Based on these requirements three methodologies were framed namely,
The methodology was developed as early as in 1970 during the initial stages of software development. It follows a few steps that are to be followed that ensures that the systems works perfectly without any problems. The steps to be followed in the waterfall methodology are as follows.
The Waterfall method is a straight down approach which can handle only a single type of product. The method is quite orthodox in nature and follows a single flow approach and the possibility to revert back and correct the errors is quite difficult in this methodology.
Agile as the name suggests is a very alert system capable to handling even small issues. The systems ensures frequent interactions within the team members and the whole team working on the project to ensure a free flow of ideas and corrective actions. Further it is possible to monitor the developments on day to day basis which is more effective in correcting the errors and mistakes immediately. The Agile methodology is unique because of the following reasons.
Scrum defines a total group that lunges forward to take control of a problem or situation. By this methodology a huge problem is scattered among various members thus making the problem look more small and easy to solve. The members in turn interact with each other to ensure that the work is done properly and tend to involve actively within themselves. In this methodology tasks are allotted to specified persons who are connected with the others in the team. The methodology is akin to a Sprint where the next person takes up from the previous finisher. This ensures that one has to complete the job perfectly in order for the next person to take up the job. The system records the process which is later used to evaluate the performance by each individual.
